by T. Golgan (Contribution by), Sl Figuhr (Author)
Welcome to Charleston, SC. where the faces are smiling, the tea is sweet, and the zombies are hungry. A proud city is being bombarded once again. Only this time, it's the living against the undead. A local couple is torn apart while trying to survive. Wade has gone after his daughters, 500 miles away at college, in an effort to rescue them. He has left his girlfriend, Spacey, behind, promising to come back and join her. Spacey and her cats hunker down on nearby Wadmalaw Island, where she struggles to avoid zombies and raiders. Even a small squad of soldiers, cut off from the local military base, may not be enough help. Can Spacey and Wade live long enough to be reunited? Or will they join the undead herd, forever apart?
Author Biography
SL Figuhr was born near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1975. She earned a degree in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University. She also holds an Associate's of Radiology degree and a certificate in Computed Tomography. When not writing, SL works a job in the public sector. Her spare time is spent writing her own blend of fantasy, along with crafting free form poetry, attending writer's clubs, and playing the odd game of tennis. SL also has a younger sister, who served a test audience for all her early writing, enduring the many unpolished stories that helped SL grow into the writer she is today. Her sister continues to be an avid supporter of SL's work. A fan of the macabre and fantasy, SL's biggest influences came from authors like Bram Stoker, Mary Shelly, Anne Rice, Edgar Allen Poe, and H.P. Lovecraft provided early influences. Other inspirations include Tales From The Crypt, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Xena, Alias, and a host of 1980's movies. SL has held an abiding love for the written word since she first learned to read. Her writing technique takes the pieces of literature which spark her interest and blends them together to create beautiful mosaics of literary abandon. SL believes we make our own destinies, and fate is to be challenged. This belief drives her to explore the infinite possibilities life and after-life, in all its myriad forms, in her writings. Today SL lives in Charleston, South Carolina with her orange tabby Butterrum.
