There is a real contrast between Book One and Book Two. In Book One, there was an introduction of the key personalities and characters of the story along with traveling and learning about all the interesting and unique place that will be visited throughout all six books in the story. There was very little drama or intrigue in Book One.

In Book Two, there are all kinds of drama, intrigue, and scary things happening with some humor sprinkled in along the way. The introduction of some new situations and places makes for a very interesting Book Two. The storm in the beginning of Book Two is very scary for everyone. The parents of the Princess (They were concerned they would never see their daughter again) and everyone with them, the Princess and Prince who got blown off course along with the drivers of the Flying Carriage's (They had no clue if they were going to be safe or not), and once Berlin found out about what happen, he was concerned for the parents. There are some surprises along the way in Book Two which make the story very, very interesting for sure.
