S. H. Foulkes was the founder of the group analytic school of group psychotherapy. This volume represents an introduction both to his work, and to the developments based on it. Author Biography

Malcolm Pines is a group analyst and psychoanalyst, and a founder member of the Institute of Group Analysis. Prior to his retirement, he was Consultant Psychiatrist at the Tavistock Clinic, London. He was a close associate and pupil of S. H. Foulkes.
