Author Biography
Mary Jean Kelso is the author of over 20 titles with The Love He Left Behind being #25. Several of her children's books are in Braille. Many new books are waiting in publisher's queues. She has written for a number of nationwide magazines and newspapers. She won both The Nevada Press Assn. and The National Press Assn. award for her Journalism work. Mary Jean traces her prolific writing back to descending from the Jennings family which included William Jennings Bryan. She is a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Alamo Defenders Descendants Assoc., The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, The Alamo Society and Made in Nevada. "Writing is in my nature. I have been evolving in it from the time I could hold a pencil or pound a typewriter. For 8th Grade Graduation I asked for a portable typewriter and have worn several out over the years, transitioning to computers as soon as they were available.
