Author Biography

The Melody of My Love is the third book by Migena Ramaj, a long prose, while her literary activity has mainly been in the field of poetry. She is editor-in-chief of "Ilira", a seasonal magazine for Christian girls and women, and she has also worked as a journalist in Radio 7 for several years. The author was born in Bajram Curri in 1978, one of the most important cities of northern Albania, situated in the Tropoja region. The story she tells serves as a small window of insight into what has happened for centuries in the lives of the people in this region, people who have governed themselves in their remote and impenetrable villages in the northern mountains, away from the authority of any invader or government.
