The Phoenix Complete Series Guide - Paperback

by Adrian Sherlock (Author)

The Phoenix (1982), was a brief but memorable foray into speculative storytelling, blending elements of Egyptian mythology with the then-popular ancient astronaut thesis.
The series centers on Bennu of the Golden Light, an extraterrestrial being discovered in a Peruvian sarcophagus and awakened in the 20th century, played by Judson Scott (Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan).
Possessing abilities such as telepathy, levitation, and astral projection, Bennu embarks on a quest to find his long-lost companion, Mira, while evading capture by government agents who are skeptical of his origins.
Drawing inspiration from Erich von Däniken's Chariots of the Gods?, the show weaves a narrative that suggests ancient civilizations were influenced by alien visitors. Awakened in our time, Bennu brings wisdom and power to our world.
This book is a detailed look at the series and the cultural landscape which inspired it.
