Because she grew up in her mother's indie bookstore, Elizabeth Brokamp was exposed to well-crafted language at a young age. Today the author is a licensed professional counselor in private practice. She earned her BA from the College of William and Mary and her MA and EdM from Teachers College, Columbia University. Brokamp lives with her husband and three children in Alexandria, Virginia.

Marsha Riti earned a BFA in studio art, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. She won the Portfolio Grand Prize at the Books, Boots, and Buckskin 2011 Austin Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Regional Conference. Riti enjoys gardening and cooking and lives in Austin, Texas.

Author Biography

Elizabeth Brokamp is a licensed professional counselor in private practice. Brokamp wrote several articles for The Motley Fool, including those for an advice column on money and relationships, titled Ask Mrs. Riches. Because she grew up spending time in her mother's independent bookstore, Brokamp developed an interest in literature at a young age. Although she would hold her nose as she ate green peas as a child, Brokamp was inspired to write The Picky Little Witch by her three children, who are also picky eaters. After earning a BA in English from the College of William and Mary, she received an MA and an EdM from Teachers College at Columbia University. She is the recipient of a Moonbeam Children's Book Award for Juvenile Fiction and a Mom's Choice Award for Juvenile Self Improvement. Brokamp lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
