The Young Scholar's Book Club offers reading enrichment, tutoring assignments, vocabulary-building skills, analytical and critical thinking skills and a whole lot more. Author Biography

Brenda Johnson Padgitt is the CEO/Founder of The Young Scholar's Book Club. The Young Scholar's Book Club is a non-profit organization that offers a free educational program for Pre-K through 4th grade. The program offers reading enrichment, tutoring assignments, vocabulary building skills, analytical and critical thinking skills and a whole lot more. The Book Club was started with Pre-K through 4th grade in mind. Ms. Padgitt's vision is to help elementary students Pre-K through 4th grade read more, increase in their vocabulary, learn how to analyze and critique what they have read and have fun in the process of learning. Ms. Padgitt hopes to give any student around the world who joins "The Young Scholar's Book Club," encouragement, the tools to do better on assignments in school, a broader vocabulary, a love for reading and exploring new information in books. The Young Scholar's Book Club can be accessed online at www.tysbookclub.com. The curriculum program runs from August to May each year. Students also enjoy summer workshops and seminars. Ms. Padgitt has a B. A. Degree in Broadcast News Communications. She is an experienced educator and has taught and tutored students Pre-K through college. Ms. Padgitt is also the founder of The ASWIFTT Writer's Guild, ASWIFTT Jr. Writer's Guild, ASWIFTT Publishing, LLC which is the parent company of ASWIFTT Radio, The ASWIFTT Journal & ASWIFTT Television. Ms. Padgitt currently lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her family.
