Author Biography

Reverend Dr. Cedrick Donyat Bridgeforth is an Alabama native who currently serves as District Superintendent in the California-Pacific Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Prior to his appointment as District Superintendent, Dr. Bridgeforth served as Pastor of the Crenshaw United Methodist Church, Bowen Memorial United Methodist Church, Director of Alumni and Church Relations at Claremont School of Theology, and course instructor at the University of LaVerne's Ecumenical Center for Black Church Studies. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University (Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership), Claremont School of Theology (Master of Divinity), and Samford University (Bachelor of Arts in Religion). Dr. Bridgeforth served four years in the United States Air Force and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
