Author Biography

Pierre Benoist, a former student of the ENA, is a doctor of history and an associate researcher at the centre for historical research at the Ecole des hautes etudes en sciences sociales. He has published studies on professional training, social advancement, the status of teachers, and the career of Francois Goguel, the general secretary of the Senat and the president of the Fondation nationale des sciences politiques.
