Wild Herbs for Little Foragers is a field guide to several common wild plants living in the temperate region that can be used for nourishment and healing. Included are photos for identification, information about each plant, a recipe, a coloring page, and a page for drawing. Trickster plants, or plants to avoid like poison ivy, are also included. While the book is targeted for young children, ages 3-7, it will be enjoyed by adults as well.

Author Biography

Always a student of nature, Janice Marsh-Prelesnik loves to share the teachings of the nourishing and medicinal plants growing right in our backyards. Since 1981 Janice has offed the healing modalities of herbalism, home birth midwifery, massage therapy, sound healing and expressive arts/music therapy for those in hospice care. She also has authored The Roots of Natural Mothering and Between Worlds. Most importantly, Janice is the mother of four grown children and the grandmother of four adored grandchildren.
