Author Biography

William Seckington is a retired teacher with thirty-two years of experience teaching U.S. history, government, and economics. He has a master's degree in education, and through Teacher Created Materials, Inc., he has published a series of curriculum books about the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and Imperialism. He is married and currently lives in Nevada City, California. After learning about the tragic Exercise Tiger military incident, Seckington was inspired to learn as much as he could about the event and incorporate it into a work of historical fiction. Through the novel Will to Live, he hopes to entertain while informing more people about this overlooked part of World War II history, and to inspire others to do research of their own on this historic event.
