Die auf die Wortbildung des Französischen ausgerichtete Einführung behandelt neben der synchronen Analyse auch innovative Aspekte des Themenbereichs. Berücksichtigt sind die bisher nicht systematisch dargestellte Spezifik der fachsprachlichen Wortbildung und die Deonomastik. Darüber hinaus wird die französische Wortbildung in ihrer diatopischen und diastratischen Variation untersucht, wobei anwendungsbezogene Möglichkeiten der linguistischen Korpusanalyse mit Hilfe der neuen Medien eingebracht werden.
