by Bob Ford (Author)

Preston Waddington well understood that corporate survival in the auto industry meant finding a way to make himself indispensable. That objective, however, did not include becoming involved in a product defect cover up, having an affair with the CEO's wife, finding himself in the middle of a law suite, stumbling across a scam involving his father-in-law the car dealer, confronting a hostile dealer body and, finally, facing the prospect of being invited by the board of directors to "fall on his sword."

Author Biography

Bob Ford's most recent two books are on the same subject - automobiles. One is fiction (An Indispensable Man), the other fact (What Car Dealers Won't Tell You). He knows well whereof he writes. For over 30 years Ford has worked in, around and for the car industry. His experience ranges from the executive floor to the factory floor, from the dealership sales floor to any ad agency floor you want to pick. He's arguably seen it all and what he's seen can be found - in one form or another - in these two books. Bob has appeared on NBC's Today Show, Fox News, CNN and numerous local and national cable TV and radio programs. He drives pre-owned cars.
