Author Biography
Philip Odango is an accomplished artist, designer, event producer and marketing professional. He has spent the last decade directing and producing over two dozen stage productions, and is known for his award-winning cosplay work as Canvas Cosplay. With over 15 years of leadership roles in communications, non-profit fundraising, advertising and federal work, and as a certified project manager and active member of the Public Relations Society of America, Philip strives to empower cosplayers worldwide to strengthen their professional development. He has appeared as an invited guest, costume contest judge and presenter in many conventions worldwide, and his costumes have been featured by Marvel and Disney, in national media outlets such as The New York Times, Good Morning America, The Chicago Tribune and Forbes Magazine and in industry media including Cosplay Culture Magazine, Cosplay in America, Kotaku and Fashionably Geek.
