Author Biography

Tom Hoover is a retired navy man with degrees in physics, engineering and applied technology. He was a cold warrior and worked both in aerial spying and in research and development, test and evaluation. While in the RDT&E community he was involved in the beginning of our space exploration, and flew specialty missions for NASA. Among these missions were the Gemini and Apollo programs that put American men on the moon. An amature historian and want-to-be archeologist, Mr. Hoover has spent many years searching ancient mythology and holy writ for stories of dragons and their place in the history of all mankind. As he searched ancient records Mr. Hoover found a great body of record referring to space flight and warring gods who involved mankind in their fighting. Taking these records into flights of fantasy was a natural step that led to the writing of "Dragons in the Beginning." Although the ancient records are unfortunately incomplete, with both destructive conflict and the ravages of time conspiring to deprive us of the total story, Mr. Hoover has blended a lifetime of experience in the practice of warfare in the shadow world of a cold warrior and his personal collection of ancient records and holy writ to weave a yarn of science, magic, love, mystery and battle. This story is about dragons, and men involved the eternal struggle of good and evil for the power and control over the lives of us all.
