Author Biography

I grew up in the streets of West Philadelphia where poverty was evident. I was raised in a single parent home, with two sisters and one brother. I resulted to the life of crime at the age of twelve because I hated watching my mom struggle. I looked up to drug dealers and followed in their footsteps because I did not have a father figure. I went to prison at the age of 18 for the first time where I served 4 1/2 years. After serving my 4 1/2 years I was released and went right back for 13 years. This time around I was introduced to writing. I started writing to help me deal with the deaths of family members and friends. Writing also help me cope with everyday life behind the prison walls. I wrote what I was feeling through poetry. I call it "story telling at its best". Now I bring to you Hidden Agendas a tale of reality that goes on everyday inside the Ghetto, but keep your eyes open for the Rapoetry of a Hustler my poetry book.
