On an island in the Middle Sea, 3500 years ago, Kitane is next in line to inherit her family's trade fortune and properties. There are plenty of suitors, but Kitane can't decide-because there is something she must do first.Time is in short supply. The God Potidas is angry. The ground rumbles and islanders flee from the threatening volcano at Thera. Will the Goddess Jasasara intervene and save Her people? If Kit doesn't succeed, she may lose everything she loves: her bull, her home, her honor and her family's respect, and the Goddess' help. Can Kitane's renowned bull jumping convince the Goddess to help for the good of all?
