Author Biography

Carla Fuentes's work is an encounter with the human figure and all that it encompasses. There is something about her characters that looks back at you; it is simultaneously unsettling and fascinating. Carla has a degree in fashion design and fine arts. She began her career as an illustrator and made a name for herself by working with brands, agencies, magazines, and music groups. However, her artistic vision extends beyond this. She is currently devoted to figurative painting and developing exhibition projects through oil painting, taking portraiture to unusual places. In her work, there are no flat faces or complacent poses. What there are are questions. Her visual stories dissect human relationships, the absurdity of everyday life, and the contradictions of our species. Sometimes accompanied by flies, flowers, or screens, her characters are not just symbols; they are mirrors that reflect and distort, connecting the primitive and the contemporary. Her work contains criticism, irony, beauty, and a touch of discomfort. Fernando de Rojas (La Puebla de Montalbá n, Toledo, c. 1465 - Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, 1541) was a Spanish writer. He is best known for La Celestina, a work that has been described as both a play and a novel due to its dialogical nature. However, it lacks some essential elements of the dramatic genre, which has led to numerous discussions about its literary classification. Fernando de Rojas is known in literary history as the author of La Celestina; however, during his lifetime, he was primarily a highly regarded lawyer in Talavera de la Reina, in the province of Toledo.
