Author Biography

Jeff Lait is a Senior Mathematician at Side Effects Software Inc. where he currently writes fluid simulators for Houdini, a visual effects program. His hobbies include developing roguelike video games, the most famous of which is POWDER, found at http: //www.zincland.com/powder. As evidenced by the existence of this book, his hobbies also extend to writing science fiction. When not working or playing with computers he can be found in the company of his wife and daughter, sometimes going entire hours without checking email.
