The Peace of Mind Flex Curriculum for Grades 5-8 with ASL is a series of 15 engaging, flexible lessons designed to help students manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and peacefully resolve conflicts. The curriculum is built on six foundational pillars: Mindfulness, Brain Science, Kindness and Compassion, Gratitude, Conflict Resolution, and Social Justice. American Sign Language (ASL) is incorporated as a tool for all children to learn, explore, and communicate their emotions. The curriculum also includes "Peace Partners," a daily activity where students are paired up to get to know each other and practice acts of kindness. Lessons are structured to be trauma-sensitive and student-centered, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom community.

Written by Linda Ryden (Grades K-8) and Ashley Brown (Grades 5-8), this impactful set of lessons features original illustrations, storybooks, and videos made by Linda and her students.
