Author Biography

Claire Millington, PhD, is a Roman military archaeologist and Visiting Research Fellow at King's College London. Her research focuses on households within the Roman army.

She has taken part in excavations at Vindolanda and with Time Team. Her long-standing commitment to public archaeology stems from her involvement with Museum of London Archaeology's Thames Discovery Program, as well as from presenting her research through public talks and popular history publications, including Ancient Warfare magazine.
