The Snake Dance symbolizes the Cape Cod Indian Wampanoag tribe's responsibility in challenging and vanquishing their tribal enemies. It honors courageous women who use cunning and charm to defeat unwanted intruders who threaten their society. Michele Renard is descendant of Wampanog Indians and a Harvard zoology professor. She has led photo safaris in India & Africa. She has all equipment needed for observing and recording animals in the wild by day or night. She can shoot and tranquillize a wounded animal in need of care or an attacking lion. When she discovers a Cape Cod neighbor's cocaine smuggling activities, she is inspired by her Wampanoag heritage and her childhood memories of the ritual Snake Dance in which tribe members risk their lives dancing and juggling poisonous snakes. She persuades her good friend Ingrid to join her in taking on a network of ruthless drug dealers. The two fearless women decide to risk using their charm and cunning to harass two vicious drug gangs by stealing their drugs and money while convincing them to blame each other.

Author Biography

Ulf Lidbeck, originally from Sweden, moved to the US and Cape Cod in 1980. He was the owner and president of a successful advertising agency. For many years he lectured on the college level on advertising techniques and copywriting. In addition to writing, he is a dedicated amateur gourmet cook and lecturer on Swedish and International cooking.
