MFI zeolite is an extremely important zeolite in the chemical industry, widely used in catalysis and adsorption fields. The synthesis of zeolites via more efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective methods is considered crucial for both industrial and academic applications. However, the preparation of MFI zeolites is typically expensive and environmentally unfriendly. Challenges arise when attempting to produce MFI zeolites under amine-free conditions using traditional hydrothermal synthesis strategies, mainly due to the ineffective suppression of impurity phase growth in amine-free hydrothermal systems. In this work, we primarily focused on addressing the impurity phase inhibition issue in amine-free hydrothermal synthesis of MFI zeolites by controlling various crystallization conditions. We achieved directional control over the crystallinity and particle size of MFI zeolites in amine-free hydrothermal systems, obtaining highly crystalline nanospherical MFI zeolites.
