Author Biography
From an early age, Mariah has always been a writer, creating heroes and happy endings from everyday events and stitching together childhood tales with yarn and construction paper. She continues that tradition in The Broken Places, drawing on real-life scenarios to create real and relatable characters. But what started as a seemingly simple 30-day challenge for National Novel Writing Month quickly became something much larger. Mariah lives in Orlando, Fla., with two dogs, two cats, and more craft supplies than she's willing to admit, including plenty of yarn and construction paper.
