The Holiday Delay - Paperback

by Cassandra Moll (Author)

They say there's no place like home for the holidays.

Brett Burns is the classic Golden Retriever type-loyal, goofy, and warm like the goddamn sun. But this Golden City Flames defenseman is carrying more than just his hockey gear. There's a reason he's always tried to see the good in things-why he'd rather be too much than risk being not enough. And now, it seems, his Ghost of Christmas Past might be here to stay.

Nellie Winters had two dreams: pursue art and do it anywhere but her one-stoplight hometown. She got out of Frostpine Falls-in fact, moving to Golden City might have been the best thing she's ever done. But her art career? That hasn't exactly come gift-wrapped with a bow.

When a nor 'easter hits Golden City two days before Christmas, all flights are grounded, and Brett and Nellie receive the best gift of all-more time before going home and facing the truth. Then, when they decide to make the most of the delay, they discover a night of vending machine snacks and souvenir shopping might deliver more than just an airport adventure.
