Author Biography

Sheryl Wright Stinchcum was president of the John Gilbert Appreciation Society for ten years. Her admiration for matinee idol John Gilbert inspired her to write THE PRINCE IN THE TOWER, which features a John Gilbert look-alike as the main character. Sheryl, a retired registered nurse, began writing in the 1990s. First, she wrote historical, business, and real estate articles for the CONNECTION newspaper in Northern Virginia. Then she wrote silent film reviews and interviewed Leatrice Gilbert Fountain ("Leatrice Gilbgghbert Fountain: Daughter of Hollywood Legends"), for THE SILENTS MAJORITY: ONLINE JOURNAL OF SILENT FILM. Her interview with Leatrice was also published in Michelle Vogel's CHILDREN OF HOLLYWOOD(McFarland, 2005). THE PRINCE IN THE TOWER is Sheryl's first novel.
