Author Biography

Tomas W. Schafer taught history and was a journalist for many years. After putting his faith in Jesus Christ, his increased interest in biblical history and the life of the apostle Paul inspired him to research and write this book. His natural curiosity eggs him on to answer his imagination's innumerable questions. He spent hundreds of hours researching 1st century life in Rome and studying the biblical account to obtain relevant facts and plausibility for his story about Paul's imprisonment. He is fascinated with the psychology that underlies power, politics, and people. Schafer's background of prison ministry, mentoring, business, and journalism brings a wide variety of experiences for authenticity in his writing. His interest and experience in mentoring is evident throughout this book, as well as in his first book, MENTORING GOD'S WAY--Fulfilling the Great Commission.
